Flint Hill Christian School is a distinctively Christian school located in Bessemer, Alabama, in the suburbs of Birmingham. Flint Hill is a K2 through 12th grade traditional school program that offers a quality education in a safe environment with a spiritual emphasis. Though our school is a direct ministry of Flint Hill Baptist Church, over 150 churches are represented by our staff and student body. Over the past seven years Flint Hill has grown to become the largest Christian school in our area with a full academic and athletic program. Accreditation through ACSI, SACS and AISA has been a priority for two years and an improved and professional staff has become our tradermark.

We are dedicated to making information about Flint Hill readily available to you on the web. Our website is constantly under review. We also offer online communication and accountability to our parents through Engrade – a software that allows parents K5 – 12th grade to stay up with their child’s grades, assignments and projects and to communicate with their teacher.

Accreditation

Flint Hill is ACSI, SACS and AISA accredited!

FHCS has gone through the grueling process of being evaluated by 8 ACSI educators. They looked at hundreds of documents, sat in every classroom at least once, and they interviewed students, teachers, administrators and parents. They spent 3 days looking deep into the day-to-day practices and policies of our school and finished up their report on April 23. We now have an official word from the commissioner and are thrilled to announce that they have deemed us worthy of accreditation. They have granted us a seven year certificate which is the most amount of years they grant to anyone. Then on 08/18/09 SACS granted us dual accreditation. On 3/6/10 we received recognition through AISA which gives us official recognition through three top accrediting agencies.

Non-profit Business of the Year Award

Flint Hill Christian School received the non-profit business of the year award from the Chamber of Commerce and Bessemer Rotary Club on July 28th, 2009. This is a wonderful honor that was placed upon the school for it’s outstanding service rendered for the community. We are very grateful for this award and want to thank administration, staff, students and parents for making it possible.
